Terms

What Bloop is, and what it is not.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Joseph Maxwellson ("we") for your use of the website at bloopfamily.app and the early-access list. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

What Bloop is

Bloop is a family app, in development. A parent taps one button each morning, and it lands on the family's phones as her morning. Photos and hearts go back and forth.

Bloop is a family app, not an emergency service. If you’re ever worried about someone’s safety, call local emergency services.

Bloop is not a medical device or a substitute for care, and nothing on this site says otherwise.

Early access

  • Asking for early access is free and puts you on a list. It is not a purchase and does not oblige you to anything.
  • Invites go out in small groups, in an order we choose. We cannot promise when yours will come, or that the app will launch.
  • You get one email, when your invite is ready. You can leave the list at any time.
  • You must be at least 18, and the address must be yours.

The app, when it comes

The app will have its own terms, including any price and how subscriptions work. You will see them before you use it, and nothing here commits you to them.

Fair use

Do not use the site for anything unlawful. Do not sign up addresses that are not yours, or use scripts or other automated means to send sign-ups. Do not try to break, overload, probe or get around the security of the site.

Our content

The site, its words, its design and its films belong to us or our licensors. The families, messages and photos on the site are examples; the photos are stock.

As is

The site and the list are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the site will be accurate, uninterrupted, without errors, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses that follow from using or not being able to use the site or the list. You have paid us nothing, and our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Some states do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section and the one above may not apply to you.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
